“Providence Talks” at our local Libraries
Mount Pleasant, Rochambeau and South Providence are hosting new play groups that utilize Providence Talks’ groundbreaking teaching model. The play groups meet for one hour a week for six weeks.
The goal is to encourage families to talk and read more to babies and toddlers and increase their exposure to words. The playgroups are co-facilitated by trained staff from Providence Talks partner agencies Family Service of RI, Meeting Street, Children’s Friend and PCL children’s librarians.
Talks playgroups are planned at these and other PCL locations, so please talk to your librarian if you are interested.
